AI Shield - Armenia’s Information Resilience is a one-year cooperation project between the Armenian Institute of International and Security Affairs (AIISA) and the Caucasian Social Innovation Network (CSIN). Supported through the RITA - Region in Transition Programme and financed by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation (PAFW), the project responds to the growing importance of information resilience in an era of AI-enabled disinformation and evolving cyber threats. By developing local expertise, practical analytical tools, and institutional capabilities, AI Shield supports Armenia’s ability to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.
Running from June 2026 to May 2027, the project will train more than 60 Armenian analysts, journalists, and civil society professionals to examine AI-enabled disinformation and coordinated influence operations, including campaigns associated with Kremlin-linked actors. Combining Polish experience in countering information manipulation with AIISA’s security and policy research expertise, AI Shield will equip Armenian professionals with the knowledge and methods needed to assess emerging threats and develop effective responses. By bringing together research, training, and practical resources, AI Shield will establish a lasting foundation for Armenia’s information resilience. The project’s multilingual toolkit, analytical report, and expert network will provide continued value beyond its implementation period, supporting future efforts to understand and address evolving information threats.
